Heroes' Square

Heroes’ Square is one of the major squares situated in Budapest, Hungary. The statues represent the seven tribes that founded Hungary during the 9th century, along with other political figures that signify importance in Hungarian history. As soon as you enter the square, you realize how big and grande the monument is. I was going to stay longer, but a storm was coming so my friend and I had to head back (we got soaked in the rain anyways, so staying longer wouldn’t have made a difference). Budapest is a great city and I’d gladly go back again. Their monuments are bigger than the typical tourist European city, and the vibe from Budapest is just… “cool”. Also, blonde men with ponytails seem to be the new fashion trend in Budapest today.

Oddly enough, China created a duplicate of Heroes Square in Shanghai. It’s called the “Shanghai Global Paradise”. China is a little weird in that aspect; they like to duplicate many monuments/buildings from countries outside of Asia. Heroes’ Square is just one of the many duplication projects.
