In October 2006 Zackery Bowen strangled, cut up, and cooked his girlfriend Addie Hall in the upstairs apartment of this building before jumping off a French Quarter hotel to his death.

In a strange twist, one of the people interviewed in this episode, Margaret Sanchez, is currently being held in connection with the recent murder and dismemberment of Jaren Lockhart, a Bourbon Street stripper.
