I must have driven by this dead tree hundreds of times, and with each passing I looked for an opportunity to capture it in the best possible light. So, here comes the billowing smoke from the Gila National Forest fire and the chance presents itself for a photo op like no other, without filters I mind you. A sad and unfortunate memorial for the loss of +150,000 acres of scorched forest and wilderness area.
