Ms. Green (I call her that because her mate is (ring-)tagged Green-767) has 5 cygnets. I thought she had left two eggs, abandoned, two day ago, but now they have hatched too. She feeds the cygnets by picking up plants from the lake and shaking them to present them in smaller pieces for the cygnets. The cygnets are too young to eat bread, so she was handfed from the canoe still hissing and showing aggression to protect the young - but she ate some bread anyway ;-)
- We have known each other for at least 4 years now . . . .
