Manhattan panorama

Szabo Peter - szabopete.com has added a photo to the pool:

Manhattan panorama

Okay, my last few photos were about Philadelphia and the Niagara Falls. Let's go back to NYC for another few photos...
So, this is the view of Manhattan from Ellis Island.
Let's see what we have here, from left to right (the main things only)
- In the distance there is the Empire State Building,
- the two tall buildings with cranes on their tops are the new World Trade Center towers being built,
- the green patch behind the ferry is Battery Park, where Kossuth's name is mentioned on a plaque (my fellow Hungarians will be proud),
- on the right hand side you can see the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges,
- the far right is Brooklyn.

Canon 550D + 18-55mm kit lens and Circular Polar filter.
3 photo merged.
The funny thing was that the seawall on Ellis Island was under reconstruction so because of the fence I had to climb up to the armrest of a bench and keep my balance whilst taking the pictures.
